Dhananjaya Weerasinghe has more than thirty years of involvement in the aviation field and has been with AAC in various capacities in his 26+ years of employment under AAC. He holds a Master’s Degree in Science (MSc) in Engineering in Aircraft and Aero-Engine Maintenance from Kiev International University of Civil Aviation of Kiev, Ukraine, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka and a Master’s Degree in
Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colombo.
Dhananjaya has been the CAASL approved Head of Training / Accountable Manager (2007 to 2012) and Manager Quality Assurance (from June 2014 onwards) of AAC’s Flight Training Organization – AAC Flight Academy, Manager Quality Assurance (Since July 2017) of AAC’s Maintenance Training Organization – AAC
Engineering Academy. He was the Manager Organizational Reviews (2018 – 2021) and presently, the Manager Quality Assurance (from October 2021 onwards) of AAC Flight Academy CAMO and the Manager Quality Assurance of AAC’s AMO, AAC Technical Services (from September 2021 onwards). During the period 1996 – 2003, he was actively involved in maintenance and operations of Lionair aircraft, exposing him to the large aircraft maintenance and operations.
