Course Introduction / Overview

The Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course is a pathway to EASA an Aircraft  Maintenance License .

Asian Aviation Centre (AAC) and Aviation Australia (AA) are proud to offer a Sri Lankan twinning program making studying abroad a more affordable option to those who wish to pursue a career in aviation. The twinning program allows the students to complete a portion of their qualification at AAC in Sri Lanka, and then transfer to Aviation Australia.

Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training is approved and recognized by both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for the purposes of aircraft maintenance engineer licensing.

EASA sets the higher standards for aircraft maintenance engineering, allowing Aviation Australia Certificate Holders to pursue careers in aircraft maintenance around the globe.

By completing this course you will gain the following Qualifications:

  • Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
  • EASA Certificate of Recognition
  • GACC ( UAE Certificate of Recognition)
  • CASA* (Australia Certificate of Recognition) *CASA outcome available as a course upgrade

With these qualifications and after completing the required aircraft maintenance experience with an Airline or MRO (Maintenance Repair Organization), you will qualify for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license [EASA].

Another option open to you is to continue study with an Aviation Australia pathway University and work towards your Bachelor’s degree in an Aviation related fields (e.g. Management, Engineering or Business)

  • Module 08 – Basic Aerodynamics
  • Module 09 – Human Factors
  • Module 10 – Aviation Legislation (EASA)

  • Module 07 – Maintenance Practices
  • Module 11 – Turbine Airplane Aerodynamics, Structures & Systems
  • Module 15 – Gas Turbine Engine
  • Module 17 – Propeller
  • Aviation Technical English
  • Effective Leadership

Course Duration

Duration: 18 months

First  06 months at AAC  in Sri Lanka and  remaining 12 months  at AA in  Brisbane in Australia.
